We just enjoyed the best menu del dia we've had in Spain. Ever! It's a bit more expensive at 14.95€ for three courses but comes with half a bottle of wine or a small beer or soft drink. The food, tableware and service were all impeccable.

It was a bit more upmarket than usual and I would have felt uncomfortable in beachwear or shorts so I was pleased I wore a skirt but would have been fine in trousers. Most men were wearing smart shorts or trousers and short sleeved shirts.

It was very busy for a Monday lunchtime so we would advise booking.

There is a selection of 12 starters, 19 main courses and 6 desserts. If you have the menu del dia, all the starters are included and so are all the desserts. 6 of the main courses, mainly the steaks, are available for a supplement of around 3€.

For starters, Roger had smoked salmon with garlic-parsley cheese and toasted bread. I had melon and Serrano ham. The flavours and presentation were superb in both. All the other starters we saw coming out looked lovely too. For main, I had steamed salmon with a Martini orange sauce (there were a choice of 3 sauces) and Rog had the leg of lamb which was like lamb shank but off the bone with a mint sauce gravy. The mains are all served with fresh vegetables and a choice of chips, mash or rice. For dessert, Rog had the cheese plate.  4 pieces of cheese with pear chutney and crackers. I had hot cherries with vanilla ice-cream and can tell you honestly that I will have that every time I go!

All in all it was a wonderful meal. We have put full menus in the caseta in four different languages and a map if you want to take a look.

Also, when you first go they give you a card and once you have had 10 meals they give you a meal free. We thought it meant 10 visits but were told it is 10 meals.  Makes it even better value.

They are open every day from 12 noon to 12 midnight and the menu del dia is 15.95€ up until 6pm then 18.95€ in the evenings.
