Market days in or near Torrevieja?

 

All around Torrevieja and the surrounding areas you will find a street market taking place on most days. They are very good for all sorts of things and often have nice fresh vegetables & fruit. Most have places to eat & drink and can make an enjoyable morning out.

Here are the days of the Morning Markets in the local area (Updated May 2014): 

Sunday

 

  • El Zoco market – El Zoco market is not far from the Quesada Arches, next to the roundabout on the motorway by the Masa cement factory. The Zoco market is very close to Quesada, not far from the Arches, next to the roundabout on the motorway by the Masa cement factory - It's easy to find as there will be lots of cars going there and you will join the queue for the market car park very close to the big roundabout and will see the market car park in the distance. The market is on a Sunday and open from 8:30 to 14:00. 

  • Lemon Tree market - On farmland reached by a farm track just off the Lemon Tree Road (CV-895) and close to the far end of the El Raso urbanisation.

 

Tuesday

 

  • Benijofar market - 

  • Orihuela market - Typical Spanish food market with many other stalls and goods. 

  • Pilar de la Horadada market - 

  • San Fulgencio market

 

Wednesday

 

  • Guardamar Market - In the streets very near to the bus station in Guardamar.

  • La Mata market (In the town officially called Torrelamata) As you enter La Mata from the N332, you will go down a small road facing towards the sea - At the T junction the town and market is on the left but it's better to go right at the T junction and park in the roads around and behind the beaches, watch out for the one way streets though! 

  •  San Miguel de la Salinas market - The market is in the central streets of the town

Thursday

 

  • Alicante market - Typical Spanish food market with many other stalls and products. Every Thursday and Saturday. 

  • Cabo Roig market (10km South of Torrevieja) -

  • La Marina Market - 

  • Rojales Market is in the centre of Rojales town and close to the Mercadona supermarket.. It is a typical Spanish market with fresh fruit and vegetables and other food stalls - There is also a Cafe and many other stalls with various products. Rojales Market is about 5 to 10 minutes by car from Quesada. If coming from Ciudad Quesada, there is a free bus which is run by the Mercadona SupermarketThe free bus service from the Gamma Supermarket in Dona Pepa runs area all year round when Rojales Mercadona is open. (stops near Coopers bar, by the steps going up to Pepas bar) Times are 9.00 9.30 10.30hrs.Comes back at 12.00 & 13.00 hrs. From Mercadona Rojales & Capitol Theatre (The friendly regulars on the bus will tell you where these are)The bus stops at various other stops in Quesada

Friday

 

  • Delores market - 

  • Los Montesinos market (from 4pm onwards) –

  • Alicante market - Typical Spanish food market with many other stalls and products. Every Thursday and Saturday.

  • Almoradi market - Every Saturday - is a large market selling flowers, plants, fruit & vegetables, crafts and gifts, carpets, household items, clothes and shoes. From 09:00-13:30. At the Plaza Constitución and surrounding streets. 

  •  Catral market - As you enter catral from the ap7, go straight on through the town, you will pass a pub on the left called the Village Inn, you then come to a one way street, take a left go straight over once you get round the corner - Park anywhere there as the market is up the second street on the right. 

  • La Marina Market

  • Moncayo market (At the N332 end of the Lemon Tree Road behind the Procomobil store).

  • Orihuela market - Typical Spanish food market with many other stalls and goods. 

  • Playa Flamenca market (Orihuela Costa).

  • San fulgencio market (just off the N332 side of lidls)

  • Santa Pola market (about 20 -25 mins drive).
